Where can I find a list of the operator/maintenance commands
for the cisco routers.

Don't know exactly what you're looking for, primarily because each type of Cisco router has a specific IOS version. However, between these versions there are an abundance of similarities. For your convenience, I've listed a link that will give you some good info on IOS 12.0.

If you can get your hands on a Cisco documentation CD, it has all the data on Cisco stuff most people need. Each time you purchase a Cisco product it comes included in the package. See if you can find someone to burn a copy (for offsite archival purposes only), and let you store it. I say this because I have several Cisco certifications, and I am forbiden to tell anyone to use anything by Cisco for unauthorized purposes. But if you read between the lines you can get what you need.

<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> this helps

Or, even better:

telnet cisco
login
router> ?
show (blah blah blah output)
router> show ?
and if you have access:
router> enable
<login>
router# ?
