Operator & Gen MB not answering dial 0/timeout transfers

Customer has Legend R6.1 with MLM007. There has been sporadic funkiness with the voicemail - ports locking up, won't work after reboot, etc. The problem now is that both during the day and with night service on callers pressing 0 never get to voicemail. Transfer to any other extension works fine. During the day if the operator doesn't answer it should go to her mailbox. At night, dial 0/timeout should go to the general mailbox. I rechecked all the programming. I even deleted and then added the operator back into the VM cover group. Both MB's exist and all programming (COS, etc) is correct. I can log into both but cannot be transferred to either via Auto Attendant or by an extension...just rings and rings. If I use selector code 9 instead of 0, I do get the Gen MB, however if I program 9 to go to the operator, I do not get her MB...again just rings and rings. Other than internal VM issues, I have no idea what the problem is. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!!
 
If you find yourself frequently rebooting the system, I'm wondering if the hard drive is on the way out.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
 
I believe you are correct. Customer has called at least twice, frantic, because VM is down. After several hours and I don't know how many reboots it has come back to life. I suspect this is just a symptom of a much larger issue. I want to make sure I do all the troubleshooting possible so I'm asking the experts!
 
Replacement hard drives for the 007MLM are becoming scarce. If you can convince the customer to upgrade to an R7, you will be able to use an Avaya Merlin Messaging.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
