1. How do I make things 100% the height of the screen, ive tried everything style in the TD, in the DIV in the BODY even the HTML tags via CSS and still it won't stretch to 100%.

2. When i hard code the height I want, the menu on the left is displayed behind the iframe to the right. How on earth do i tell the browser what frame should be in the "foreground" so to speak.

the test link is here
thanks.

Are you just looking for potential bugs or have you actually come across this when testing (as the last post in that page dated 2002-09-16 15:53 PST says that the bug was fixed and that was 3 years ago!)?

Have you any experience with the AJAX concept, is it easy to pick up?
I have limited experience of it but from what I've done it seems fairly simple to grasp. Remember though, it is only a concept or method not a language so how you implement it is the trickier bit.

cool, one less thing to worry about. always a problem when reading some of these sites, so out of date, you never know where you're at.

thanks for the info.

it looks like a great concept, i guess i need to think of my model before implementing.

i was going to start getting to grips with OO design in PERL as I think the back end of a site/application is the important part. It might not look pretty but as long as it works correctly and functions, you can always tart the front end up at later date.

torn in so many directions can be distracting at times, i've got some RSS to implement for another site, so this AJAX might help push me in the XML direction.

I guess i'll have to have a play and get a feel for it before i fully commit.
