Hello,

i try to upload (wit FTP) firmware from SIP (at Siemens OpenStage 40) to HFA version and it is not possible, phone writes Transfer failed.
i tested it on more phones and it seems to be same, do you know some tip how to that? Why there is problem transfer from SIP to HFA, but HFA -> SIP working well.

SIP version V3 R3.32.0
HFA version V3 R0.16.3

Thank you.

Just a general note that HFA V3 R0.23.2 never went GA and got pulled from distribution - I wouldn't install that version. HFA V3 R0.23.3 has been posted in a newer thread. This is for the 40's and 60's for sure - not sure about the 80....

Hello,

i got an OS60 HFA Phone with V3 R.01.23.0 HFA firmware and i need to flash it to SIP firmware.
I downloaded the OS_60_SIP_V3_R3_40_0.img an have tryde to flash the fone. But i get the Message "File not supported" What can I do? Please help me

The shortcuts above may no longer work as the provider has indicated that there was 'excessive bandwidth' used...

link to the following not available

DERT HFA V3 R0.23.0

or

DERT HFA V3 R0.23.1

or

DERT HFA V3 R0.23.2

Does anyone have a valid link to any of these?

I'm not aware of a DERT version greater than V3 R0.18.0 (not 100% sure on that last digit). Go to the site that sbcsu has setup - you can click through some of the more recent topics about firmware to get the link, login and password, and whatever is on there is the most recent version I have seen - unless one came out in the last month.

just the version we already have available

trying to get the above links to work, apparently found notes from previous repairs on these. used a link on this post DER HFA V3R23.0

this link no longer works though, does anyone have it?, cant find one we downloaded, had computers upgraded since.

As already pointed out the links do not work as they were removed due to excessive bandwidth....
The site now where all of the information is at There is no DERT V3R23.0
There is no link on this page (outdated or otherwise) to a DERT HFA V3R23.0
There are softwares for phones that are V3R23.0
DERT Versions:
HFA: V3 R0.16.0 / SIP: V3 R3.17.0 (Obsolete)
HFA: V3 R0.18.0 / SIP: V3 R3.17.0 (Obsolete)
HFA: V3 R0.18.0 / SIP: V3 R3.17.0 (Obsolete)
HFA: V3 R0.18.0 / SIP: V3 R3.17.0 / SIP ECO: V3 R3.33.0
The above are the DERT tools that are available.

HFA V3 R0.23.0 is a version of firmware that is available for the IP35G

ok, so why does HFA: V3 R0.18.0 not work with IP35G?

Our DERT set up works with other Siemens unify phones ok, so its not the settings

error says TFTP Load Failed

Hi, folks! I just want to ask if there is any compelling reason I should buy an OpenStage HFA 40 phone for 20 Euro? I want to port a phone number into a SIP device, but I really don't know what advantage there would be to using a deskphone when I can do the same thing with software and a spare android phone. I have the necessary POE injector for a hardware phone, but being standalone in personal use, do I really need it? Two of these phones are available. If there is something I am overlooking that would be really useful in owning one of these, I am certainly open to sage advice.

Bobcov, that's a pretty cheap price, but you might end up with more headaches than you want. We buy a lot of refurb phones. They've all worked good, but usually are behind on the firmware. In this case, you'll have to convert it to SIP for your use. Not always an easy task. If you don't really NEED a desk phone, I wouldn't worry about it.

Ok it seems that problem with changing firmware between SIP and HFA was solved by new Firmware..

SIP V3 R3.32.0 -> HFA V3 R0.28.0 working
HFA V3 R0.28.0 -> HFA V3 R0.23.0 working
HFA V3 R0.28.0 -> SIP V3 R3.32.0 working
SIP V3 R3.32.0 -> HFA V3 R0.23.0 Transfer failed

I stayed at HFA V3 R0.23.3 because I got a security bulletin that refers to V3 R0.28.0 so I figured the next dotpoint after that would be updated :eek:) I don't think the stuff the security bulletin concerned really applies to me, but never hurts to be careful :eek:)

Yes V3 R0.33.0 is out but some of it is still 'specific field trial for specific customers only'

I can't get them off the GSI link until they are GA. I don't have access to SVU or whatever it's called.... Hopefully some day that will change, but right now it isn't.
