Hello, someone has installed this program, I need help to manage 200 ip telephones of a Siemens 3800.

Thank you very much for your time

That's kind of a tall order, but with some elbow grease you might make some progress. If the 3800 integrates with DLS (I do not know) you should be able to get it to download all your phones out of the system as a starting point, and you can also have it say synchronized, but I don't do that. For full use of DLS you need to set up DHCP scopes so that when your phone shows up on the network the DHCP server will recognize it as a phone and refer it to the DLS server to get its configuration and information. You have to inform the DLS of all your Gateway (STMI) boards, for full benefit you need to create basic feature sets, security settings, etc, to assign to phones and save them as templates, and then from the templates create profiles for each phone type (OS40, OS60, etc) and gateway combination.

If all you want to do is use it to deploy software, then at the very least you need to have all your phones entered in there and set up an SFTP server that DLS can use to transfer the software to the phones. At the very least the DLS will need to know the phone's number, MAC address, and Gateway board. It should find the IP address and other information about the phone on its own. One way you can cheat making templates is to load a phone that has the features you want into it, and then use DLS to query the phone for settings. You can query each one of the settings groups and say "Save as template" and give it a name so you know what phone type it's for and whther it is feaures, security, etc group.

With permission, I have previously uploaded an older version of the official DLS training class onto the Tondido server (see FAQs section above for more info on getting files) that is still very relevant. It will give you a really good overview of how it ticks and what you need to do to make it work. You should see a section in there (I think under Tools) called DLS, and the file that is in there is the training course, not the software. It is a large file so it will take a bit to download.

Thank you ask for a login password? and I can not find how to register

try admin first with no password, then try admin admin. Make sure it doesn't select German for the language before you put the password in!
Basic DLS is free to use - I'm not 100% sure what the limits are. If you want it "registered" you would have to contact a Unify dealer to license it by "ports" I believe. There will be an area under Administration somewhere that you enter your license key.

Thanks for answering, so for me to really work, I need a license for the ip phone, so that I can register them? that what I need to know ..

There I could access the page, you could upload the file DLS_for_OpenScape_4000 to another server, mega, 1fisher since I downloaded it to 20kb it takes me 30 hours to download 400 Mb

regards

Sorry. Work blocks most of the externl file sharing sites due to the nature of our business. The tonido works because it isn't a "known" file sharing site. It does tend to bring me back to the time of downloading from a BBS off a modem, but once can't look a gift horse in the mouth!!

I don't know how the licensing works. I know that "Basic DLS" is free, but not sure what "Basic DLS" is - it might be in the book. I don't know if there is a limit on the number of phones before you need a license, or if it just restricts some of the features from non-registered users. Here is the stuff from the manual regarding licensing. Not sure what "configuring the base system" means, but I don't get why it says all other DLS functions are free of cost when you need to have the phones in the database to do anything...

Code:
2.1.3 Licensing
For configuring base software, basic devices, mobile users, and PKI users, using DLS-Nodes in a cluster,
database mirroring, the XML push functionality, or the location service (IP infrastructure), licenses must be
purchased. All further DLS functions are free of cost. The manual I used is from 12/2017 so it is fairly current.

You can use HiPath License Management to load the relevant licenses for this onto the license agent. The license
agent can be specified when you install the DLS or later under Administration > Server Licenses.
The license agent and HiPath License Management are available for download on C-SWS.

Demo licenses are available for test installations and include:
• 1 Base Software License (30 days)
• 500 Basic Device Licenses ( = registered IP Devices) (30 days)
• 10 Mobile User Licenses (30 days)
• 10 PKI User Licenses (30 days)
• 1 Location Service License (30 days)
• 1 Node License (30 days)
• 1 Database Mirroring License (30 days)
• 1 XML Push License (30 days)
• 1 Activation Period License (30 days

The Tonido works - it's slow yes, but it works.
The reason for the lack of speed is that the bandwidth has to be limited due to excessive downloads.
Some users for example if the see a Comwin version .112 will download it AND the .113 version, why I don't know.

A DLS activation licence is free, the DLS will work for 30 days before the licence is required.
The licences for phones are separate and involve the telephone system, the DLS is a deployment server for phones for different phone systems.

Thanks for your comments. I told them that I could make the program go. I called Unify directly and they passed me a technician in Greece who helped me set it up. Effectively it is as you say with the issue of the license and the trial period.

donb01 I just downloaded the official DLS training but I will not, it stays in Adobe and does not progress, I tried to open the file index.html with IE, Firefox and Google Crome and do the same

This what comes out to me I want to run the Index

Crap... I have to remember how I fixed that.... Didn't I include a text file with that to explain how to make it work? I could swear I did. You have to do something in the adobe settings because of some security setting...

Here - I saved it for future reference:

Code:
Workarounds for Legacy FLASH Content:

We highly recommend that you only circumvent these controls to enable content from sources that they trust.

For Individuals:
For Internet Explorer, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Safari:
On the affected system, go to the Flash Player Settings Manager:
• Mac: System Preferences > Flash Player
• Windows: Control Panel > Flash Player
Select the Advanced tab
In the Developer Tools section, click the Trusted Location Settings button
Click the "Add..." button and add relevant files and folders to the list
(just add the folder where you put the DLS training - must be on a PC, not the network)

For Google Chrome (and other PPAPI browsers):
Navigate to the Settings Manager page
Choose Edit Locations > Add Locations from the popup list
In the text field that appears, type or paste the file/folder path that you'd like to trust
Click the "Confirm" button

Note: Please be aware that the "Browse for files" and "Browse for folder" buttons do not function properly.
You must manually type or copy/paste your path into the text field above the buttons to add the file or folder to the trusted list.
