Hi all

need help for outgoing on SIP polycom

dial 9 for ndd/idd for outgoing calls and activated account codes the problem is we have polycom SIP is it possible to bypass the account codes as same dialling dial 9? thanks

As far as I remember from when I was doing it many moons ago, forced account codes was either an LCR thing or a COS thing. So you might have the phones in an LCRCOSV that requires forced account codes when dialing, and there may be another one that dials the same way but does not require the account codes. If you're really having a good day the vendor may have even commented what each one is for when they set it up. The same might go for regular COS if it is set in there. I last used that on v9006 when we had to enter a security code in order to dial long distance. Now our long distance rates are so cheap we don't bother sorting it by department anymore.

Hi,
they want the same setup just like their H4K before dial out for international pincode is required. to bypass the pincode in h4k i just command on the BERUM then the rest of locals are required pincode. so is it possible to X8 same setup as the h4k?thanks

Someone who plays with PIN codes often will need to address that, as I haven't done a lot with them besides for mobility. It is also possible to restrict access to international calling by setting a specific LCRCOS auth level (example Auth 15 is required to use it) you need to have to dial that pattern, and then only assign the LCRCOSV with that auth for the people that need to have it. I could see advantages to your way of doing it though, because then ANY person could dial international from ANY phone as long as they had a valid PIN number.

Unfortunately it is not possible to dial the same CO without the PIN code. Actually, it is possible but it would be a mess for the users to understand.
There are 2 solutions in this case:

- Get rid of the PIN and block the calls by COS (1 to 15)
- If you cannot get rid of the PIN, keep it for everybody and duplicate the LCR, creating another CO to access these new dial rules and leave it without PIN.

I think the 2nd solution would be better. For example, if the other extensions need to dial "9"+"PIN"+"number", you could create the same LCR with "0" or another digit instead of "9" to initiate the call. Then, you leave these dial rules without the necessity of a PIN just keeping a high COS (i.e. 15) and just the Polycom would have access to it. The Polycom user would dial "0"+"number".

I hope that my explanation was clear, it's hard to explain without showing how to configure.
