OpenScape 4000 Ver-8
we have got duplex eco-server and date of both eco-server are out.
i have connected key board and monitor to eco-sever to change time but our colleuge has forgotten linux password.
i cant login. IS THERE ANY WAY TO LOGIN eco-server.

i tried
EXEC-DATE:2023,,,,,,,,,NOSYNC;
H500: AMO DATE STARTED
F04: COMMAND IS ONLY ALLOWED IN TEST LABS.

The date and time come from NTP - Network Time Protocol
Logon to assistant via Atlantic LAN - You will see if NTP is syncronized or not.
(The time and date (clock) comes from the network)

If you know the password on the assistant,
for example, you can use it for the eco-server login.

And the answer to the question
! ! ! Be careful when executing commands CHANGE-DBC

CHANGE-DBC:LOCATION=TESTLAB;

EXEC-DATE:YEAR=2023,MONTH=05,DAY=02,HOUR=11,MINUTE=45,SECOND=15,SYNC=NOSYNC;

CHANGE-DBC:LOCATION=CUSTOMER;

If you do not get the password to the eco-server for a long time, then
CHANGE-DBC:LOCATION=CUSTOMER;
you can not do.

we have installde licensec arroud five years ago.

please help us.

Until you set the current date on eco-servers, you will have license issues. Simple service engineers cannot help here. You need to get access to eco-servers (you may need a complete re-installation of the software). It is better to contact the Unify representative office.
Perhaps if you find a Linux specialist, he will be able to help with the password on Suse Linux. I am a simple Linux user.

The date and time come from NTP - Network Time Protocol

When the 4K was installed it should have been configured with an NTP server address in the XML. If it wasn't, then it wasn't installed correctly. So the 4K should be sending requests to an NTP server. If you configure a monitor session on the data switch against the 4Ks customer LAN port, filter on port 123, you will see where the 4K is trying to get time from. Putting an acceptable NTP source on that address would solve your time issue.

You could also shutdown a node, boot into BIOS if you can, and set the hwclock correctly (should be UTC time and configured time zone takes care of the adjustment).

If you don't want to start messing around with linux partitions to solve your password problem you could make a RISO image (appliance management), remove the hashed root password in the /config XML, and reinstall the system so that the password sets to default. Ive not tried that from a RISO but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
