Hi Guys
I have a problem with incoming calls to a OS4000 V8 from a certain prefix 010-X cannot dial 021-404X but 011-X can dial 021-404X the Telco company has done traces and say thet the OS4000 is giving a disconnect signal. I know you have the CLIMA command to block certain DDI/CLI numbers but that is not set. The circuits on the OS4000 are ISDN-PRI'S I personally still think it is a Telco problem within one of their exchanges. Any ideas out there of what else I can check on the OS4000 that could somehow block incoming calls.

The RDS tool in the Assistant will show the ISDN messaging so you should use that to compare good and bad.

If you know how to use TRACS you could post a trace. First thoughts are 4K does not recognise the dialled digits, it may well send a disconnect but there is a cause value in there they could have told you.

Disconnect the circuit and use a primary rate tester to demonstrate to the carrier the problem.

I would not expect to need a tester on a fault like this. Aside from them being expensive pieces of kit which most people don't have, there is already a very expensive ISDN fault finder on site called the OS4K. The RDS app is sufficient here. It will show if the call hits the 4K. It it doesn't - provider fault. If it does, the digits and NPI/TON being sent can be compared in both good and bad cases, and that should be enough to find the issue and either inform provider, or reconfigure 4K.

Thanks Guys I'll get a site meeting arranged with Telco will update when the issue is resolved

Hi Guys

This has been resolved by a colleague it was found to be a paramter CLAC in COT that was causing the issue
CLAC CLIACT (ACTION BASED ON CLI) USED FOR TRUNK[/b]
strange though that it only effected the incoming CLI of 010-XXXXXXX and no other CLI's

Do you have a booklet or instructional video to running openscape 4000 v8 echo server?
