Hi,
We have OSK4K V7 and want to create an LDAP phonebook. How to configure PBX and CSTA for EasyLookUp I know, but do not know how to create an LDAP phonebook. The phone network is stand-alone with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2. The server only has DLS and FTP servers. How to create a phonebook that works with LDAP on this server? What applications to use?

For phonebook there is Hipath DTB (Display telephony book) application/server.

For CMI phones there was a procedure:

- The LDAP configuration must be done by using the "Phone Services UI" configuration pages "CCS Configuration" and "CCS LDAP Configuration".
- After the configuration is done, the daemons "tomcat5" and "CSTA" must be restarted.

/etc/init.d/tomcat5 restart
/etc/init.d/CSTA restart

I found how to activate the DTB function on the portal.

However, I can't find descriptions on how to configure a PBX, CSTA or anything else. I only have descriptions on how to configure CSTA for EasyLookup.
Do you have descriptions of how to configure everything to start the DTB service?

Check on: "OpenScape 4000 V8, Platform Administration (Portal), Administrator Documentation, Issue x" service manual.
You can use also "Documentation" TAB on the above right side (on your picture).

Or: "HiPath DTB V9.0, Service Documentation, Issue x" manual.

I read that documentation and nothing was written there anymore.
I just received the complete documentation from Siemens. But ..... my version of the Platform (V7 R2.23.3) is older than the documentation I received. There is no "PEDIT" application in my version of the Platform.
I am waiting for an answer from Siemens what they will offer. :)

The integrated DTB is disabled by default. It needs to be enabled via Portal.
Did you press Submit ?

Phonebook Editor – PEDIT tool can be accessed from two locations:
1.An installation package can be downloaded from the OS4K Portal under System > DTB Configuration > Database Import Export > “PEDIT Download” button.
2.The installed form can be accessed from the DTB-Win application’s directory, usually at C:\DTB\DTBNetzConfig\ The installation directory contains two executables that belongs to PEDIT:
PEDIT.exe and peditw.exe.

Check chapter : 2.3 DTB (Display Telephone Book)

Yes. I clicked Submit and wrote Successfully.
I have a different Portal.
My Portal looks like this:

But there should be:

I can't connect HFA phones to an LDAP server. What am I doing wrong?
I created several users in AD:

Then I checked with the Admin Ldap client:

I then made changes to the CSTA:

After Save, I received the following table:

Then I clicked "Synchronize". Tomcat5 won't restart because I don't know the CSTA username and password (I've never logged in before).
I used OpenScape Desk Phone IP55G HFA. I made the following settings on my phone:

In the finale, pressing the Directory button on the phone writes that there are no entries. The search also finds nothing.
Maybe you have ideas of what I’m not doing that way, or what I haven’t done yet?

What do you mean by:
"Tomcat5 won't restart because I don't know the CSTA username and password" ?
As I mentioned above, the daemons "tomcat5" and "CSTA" must be restarted only via:
/etc/init.d/tomcat5 restart
/etc/init.d/CSTA restart

Detailed info about CCS LDAP config can be found on "OpenScape 4000 CSTA and Phone Services, Service Documentation" manual @ chapter:
6.5 LDAP Connection Configuration for EasyLookup.

Check also chapter:
5.1 Application Environment -> Daemons.

Have a look on chapter 4 Port List and check LAN firewall for ports and Assistant firewall for LDAP server entry.

As I showed in a previous post, I did everything as described in chapter 6.5.

Explain to me where I need to enter the following commands:
/etc/init.d/tomcat5 restart
/etc/init.d/CSTA restart?
I thought I needed to log in to CSTA with Putty and restart tomcat from there. However, the login asks for a username and password, which I don’t know.
Did I think wrong?

You cand restart the ADS from Assistant or mentioned services from linux node

sorry if it will be funny but i am not a linux expert. Due to quarantine, I do not have the opportunity to ask for help from colleagues.
I connected from Assistant and from linux node:

Maybe also I wasn't explicit enough.
Access Linux-CSTA directly with putty.
Usual user name and password to access CSTA Linux:
root / 4K-admin

At the initial installation this is Admin/Admin.

# service CSTA status
Checking for OpenScape 4000 CSTA:
running
# service CSTA ?
Usage: /etc/init.d/CSTA {start|stop|status|try-restart|restart|force-reload|reload}
# service CSTA restart /*This will bring down and up the CSTA daemon with all CAs/APPlications

another options :
linux:/etc/init.d # service CSTA => { start|stop|status|try-restart|force-reload|reload }
or # init 6 or # reboot /* restart entire CSTA-linux.

Ok. Thanks for the detailed instruction. Still, right at first I wanted to connect to the CSTA, only then did I not know the password.
Currently, CSTA and tomcat (tomcat6, not tomcat5) are restarted.
Since I am now working from home due to quarantine, I cannot access the phone and check if anything has changed. I have to wait for the opportunity to go to work again.
Probably no other way to check if the service is working?

tomcat5 - on V7 R0 and
tomcat6 - on V7 R1 and R2

For services(CSTA/tomcat)?
Check with : # service CSTA status

For LDAP phonebook :
Can you check over TSKA ? (not sure if OpenScape Desk Phone IP55G HFA is supported on TSKA).

Check also LDAP config on phone device:

For LDAP phonebook config:
chapter: 3.10 Corporate Phonebook: Directory Settings
chapter : 4.3 How to Set Up the Corporate Phonebook (LDAP)

For troubleshooting:
chapter: 3.20.3.13 LDAP Phonebook
Diagnostics > EasyTrace Profiles > Phonebook (LDAP) problems

I have already read all these manuals. I think the LDAP server is working fine because I connected to it with the LDAP client yesterday and everything was ok.
OpenScape Desk phone does not supported on TSKA - the graphical display does not display these required buttons.

What about NAME key "C1399902" ?
It should be a key for phonebook or ?

Yes. Here are just my experiments with DTB. But as I mentioned, the Portal version is too old.

Not sure how or if it's possible to configure a NAME key which emulates Directory key on phone device (for remote test via TSKA).
For LDAP should be similar with : C13999xx

999: APP_ID for LDAP
xx - keyno

For DTB is C13900.
C13: NON VOICE KEY
900: APP_ID for DTB

Anyway check on local phone device when possible and provide the results.
