Hi,

In 2005, you can enable OPENROWSET support under Surface Area Configuration.

Where does one enable OPENROWSET support in SQL Server 2000?

Thanks much!

In SQL 2000, you don't need to enable it.

Thanks George, I was just wondering because some users were running into errors (I would have to retrieve the exact error msg) when using openrowset.

However, when the user's permissions where change to administrator, the openrowset queries worked.

Which leads me to believe that there is a configuration issue.

Any ideas?

Or a permissions error. [wink]
