I have an Oracle Database containing Word Documents, which I want to be able to open from a webpage using a hyperlink - can anyone help with the code to be able to do this.

I've been able to access other details in the database using Active Server Pages and can access the documents, but I don't know how to handle it once I have accessed it.
Documents are defined as a BFILE in the Oracle 8 database.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks
Lynne

Thanks for that, the second link looks useful for the future, but I changed the database to contain links to the documents rather than the documents themselves. I'll investigate this further when I have more time.

This is an old issue that I'm sure was covered in the ASP Forum. They may even have a FAQ on it.
