Why would this not be working....all the literature I've read seems to suggest that there should be no problem.

Thanks,

ooskyoo

Hi ooskyooo,

Make sure that the extension is with the name (xxxxx.indd). The reserver must have the same version as you. When he/she has a version 2 it is impossible to open a cs document. If you have CS 2, you must save as interchangeable document (export). if they have version CS1 they must do an update to be able to open your interchangeable document.

By the way it is always better to open first of all the program and then open the document not by double clicking the document icon, and copy the file first to their hard disk and open it afterwards.

hope this helps

ooskyooo,

... and you need to have SAME PHYSICALLY fonts on both machines - as OTF or Type 1 - not TTF - and text don't "move" ;)

What is meant by 'not TTF'? A TTF font can be used on either Mac OSX or Windows.

jimoblak,

yes - but ONLY OTF have all necessary info about kerning, hinting, etc. to "don't move" text inside same version of InDesign.

I mean - OTF or TTF - as standard of font file - not only extension ;)

Has anyone used Adobe Indesign CS2 with a xerox Phaser 7300DN on MAc G5. I can't get it to duplex, no option appears for this through Indesign.

Thank you for any help
