I was just wondering if there was a way to open an executable file in c++ with your program? Any help is appreciated.

I am sorry, but this is a dBase Plus forum. I am not familiar with c++

maybe posting this question in a c++ forum might be helpful as you may get better responses.

yes...Go to msdn (microsoft dev. network) lookup the command 'spawn.' It comes in various flavors, and is a little wierd, but you can make your current program halt and wait for the exe you called to finish...or not. It's pretty cool.....'spawn'

"This is a dBase forum." .....Well excuse me, hope I'm not too violative to answer.......talk about anal....

Roudter, I didn't mean to be coming offensive here. My statement was to inform the fellow poster that he would be getting a better answer in the appropriate forum.

Anyway, have a nice day!
