I finished a project for class in director MX at home but at schoo I have director 8 and I am not able to open my files. Is there anything I can do to make it work ? My teacher wont let me install a trail version of MX and I seriously do not want to create everything I did all over again. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Try to convince your instructor that your school shouldn't be using outdated software to eductate its students.

well he wont let me get like the trial version of MX or anything and is not being fair when it came to this. The computers at school suck alot and are really slow when it comes to working with Director at home I have great setup and I was done with much ease ... ah well

I had the same situation when I went to school. Needless to say, I got much more work done at home.

Some of these schools like to boast the fact that they have a multimedia program but too many of them don't take it seriously enough to actually prepare students for the industry.

Unfortunately, the older versions of Director will not be able to read your MX files so you will just have to do your best with what is available to you.

If you are more up to date at home, then I would say keep at it.
