Hello, we are using Quick Books 4.0 for our computer repair store we just opened. We are using a parallel laser printer for out sales recipts which works well except for the fact it will not open our (epson type) cash drawer. I was wondering if anyone knows of a converter that will tell the cash drawer to open when a sale is completed. Thanks

I believe you will have to install an intelligent-serial cash drawer, set up the OPOS drivers, and set your POS software to fire the serial drawer.

If you are still looking CRS in minneapolis makes a pci parallel card with a epson style interface included which will allow you to kick the drawer without the epson printer. Their phone number from their website is 1-800-333-4949
