Opening an access Database via a web page

I have created an access database for reporting purposes only. I have a link on my web page pointing to this DB, however, when I click the link I receive the message Pop up window "File Download - Some files can harm your computer.....................Do you want to open this file download or cancel"

Is there any way to avoid this pop up and have the DB just open all the time????

I'm curious...

Are you just trying to allow the user to download the db and use it (update it/etc.)? Or are you trying to let the user open the db remotely and view its contents? If you are just trying to display reports/records you should consider using data access pages or .asp/.net to just display the reports as webpages. Then the user could just login to your website and view the reports/recordsets... Or am I just completely off here?

Actually, I guess .asp would be the way to go. I have no experience programming with asp. Would this be a complex project??

I find .asp is very easy to use. If you have had experience with javascript or vbscript then you will find it to be very easy. However, programming via .asp can get sort of complicated - depending on what you want to do.
