I hope someone can help me with this. I have an access database for document control from which there a hyperlinks to all the technical documents within the business.

I have just upgraded to Acrobat Reader 7.0 and can no longer open the documents using hyperlinks. I see the Adobe application momentarily when the hyperlink is clicked but almost instantly closes again. I tried creating a new hyperlink from MS Word to an Adobe document but get the same issue.

Hey, sorry I can't help with the problem, but I was wondering how you hyperlinked items so that the documents can open up in Adobe. I ask because I am trying to do with my database.

Hi. Pretty easy really. I have a table detailing all the docs in the business and each doc has a hyperlink to the relevant document on the server. When creating the table in design view, select 'Data Type' to force a hyperlink entry. Then, once the form's created, just go to the menu and 'Insert Hyperlink'.
