I have a workbook that I am trying to open, each time I click to open it, it goes to Excel and looks like it is opening up and everything. Even have the name of the file in the top of the screen. But nothing appears! What is wrong, everything else is fine just problems with this file!!!!

I've had a similar "white-out" experience. In my case, this occurred because I was developing an Access app using VBA that imported data from Excel and I had left the Excel object's visible property set to false. Ergo, I got the Excel container, but couldn't view the actual worksheets.

Try opening Excel first, and then do a File >> Open to get the workbook to load.

Or, goto Windows>Unhide
then save the workbook as the visible state is saved along with other workbook properties

no good, I think it is because there are too many rows in the sheet!!! It is a pivot table. DOes any know the max number of rows allowed in a worksheet?

max rows in a worksheet is 65536 but you cannot physically go over that anyway - have you tried opening it and going
Window>Unhide
to see if it is in there

tried that and it is not there, it is like it opens it and closes the worksheet!

could just be taking its time to open and calculate if it is a big pivot...
