Opened Mail Vanishes 1

Admin is on vacation! The amazing Kreskin has been at work. Pathetic supervisor is attempting to resolve problem.

On Friday, the world was good. Everything functioned as it should. On Monday, the user opened his email, clicked on a newly received mail to read it, went on to the next item, and the first item disappeared from the list. It was not deleted. It was not moved to a folder. It is just vanished. The settings have not changed since Friday. Rebooting changes nothing. I am reasonable sure that it still exists in Never Never Land, but we would like to be able to retrieve it.

Any good suggestions?

Try looking in the "Views > All Documents" and see if it shows it there. You would be able to move the e-mail back to wherever you like, if it is there. As to why it disappears, I couldn't say, as I have not seen that problem.

This may be too simple a suggestion but i'll say it anyway. If you are using Notes 6.x has the button above the inbox view been clicked to show unread only?. It would now say 'View All' if it had.

Oooh! I feel so foolish, now. Thank you for the simple, but valid, solution. It is almost like checking to see if the power switch is on.
