Open the door with an ATA-2

I want to open a door linked with a DOOR OPENING CONTROLER, with a wireless phone connected on an ata-2, by pressing digit 6.

Is it possible

you need to have the door contoller call the cordless phone. Then press 6.

I tried and it don't work. With the norstar phones it work but not with the analogue.

try it with a vmi if you got one laying around. ATA-2 have some problems passing DTMF under certain circumstances.

what is VMI?

You can try to check and see if your analog ext. is programmed to receive tones. I had to chg same thing to open third party door opener.

VMI was for hooking up third party voicemail systems to Norstar systems. They are analog extensions that allow pass thru of DTMF tones.
