Hi all,

I'm looking for an ASP based forum (preferably open-source)that will allow me to integrate with my AD to authenticate and identify internal users. I require just simple forum functionality, nothing fancy aside from the AD integration. Any ideas from out there?

Thanks,
Jason

You could use SharePoint. It has a discussion board and is free with Windows Server 2003. If you go that route then I would download WSS 3.0 and install it rather than 2.0 (which comes with 2k3).

Sharepoint is more than I want to get into at this point, and CommunityServer is also a little more than I need and a little more expensive than what I'm looking for as well.

What I did find was Web Wiz Forums ( It was exactly what I was looking for.

Web Wiz Forums is an ASP application, not an ASP.NET one.

So what are you in the ASP.NET forum for?

I don't understand. Are you looking for an ASP.NET solution or are you in the wrong forum?

Sorry, just joking around. It really didn't matter what specific ASP platform it was developed on; my only requirements were windows authentication, relative simplicity and open source.

My apologies for any confusion.

OK, I see. If you need anything ASP based, try forum333 otherwise this forum for ASP.NET questions.
