Thanks

Code:
access-list outside_access_in permit tcp host WEBSERVER interface outside eq 3306
access-list outside_access_in permit tcp host MAILSERVER interface outside eq smtp
these are backwards and look to reference the real ip and not the mapped ip. they need to be
Code:
access-list outside_access_in permit tcp any interface outside eq 3306
access-list outside_access_in permit tcp any interface outside eq smtp

Thank you for the response unclerico. You can ignore the 3306 request. I got that one to work...its coming in.

But I am still having troubles with the smtp going out. I ran the command you recommended and now I have a (Null Rule) according to the Device Manager.

To give more info, we send all our emails through an external web hosting company. But when I try send email or telnet to it with port 25 I get a connection error. But I can ping the server just fine.

If you or someone else has any suggestions or comments I would love to hear them.

My apologies, this is for smtp going outbound and not inbound??

Yes, I'm trying to send email like through outlook or thunderbird to our webserver that is located on a different ip address. I can't get it to go through port 25, but I can receive emails just fine through 110.

ok, well if you are using a hosted product, then you shouldn't even need your two static statements or your inbound access-list on the outside interface
Code:
no access-group outside_access_in in interface outside
no static (inside, outside) tcp interface smtp MAILSERVER smtp netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0
try removing those and let me know

I removed the two lines like you suggested, but I still have the same result. I've sent emails through 465 and was successful, but for some reason 25 is still blocked. Could my ISP be blocking this port?

yes, it could be. also try no fixup protocol smtp 25

Thank you for all your help unclerico. I apologize for taking your time, because the problem all along was my ISP provider was blocking the smtp port to prevent spammers. So they unblocked it for me and everything is good now.

Thanks Again!
