open SIP on SV9100 Polycom phones

Hi,

Just found out that I have a project coming up to install an SV9100 with 50+ Polycom SIP phones.

Anybody here had any experience with open SIP on the SV9100 as pointers and tips would be appreciated.

is this applicable to NEC SL1000?

Not sure, I'm in Australia so we have an SL1100, is that the same as the SL1000 if so then possibly yes. Not sure of the backward compatibility.

An update would be that I have got the VVX500 handsets connected and can make internal calls. Today however, I connected a third phone (a softphone on my laptop) and discovered that whilst I can call from one to another, I can't use the transfer key on the VVX500 to transfer a call (I can't transfer period). I'm quickly learning that this is more a Polycom issue than an NEC issue but Polycom Technical Support are totally disinterested in this! I need to work out how to customise the Polycom handsets but I am struggling to get any information on the syntax of the config files. I have learned how to get the VVX500s to load the config file, so that is a step forward but I get the feeling my employers will pull the plug on this as the salesman undersold the time it would take to implement this and are looking at a major loss. Shame really as I was enjoying the challenge and was slowly making progress.

Just an update.

This was like pulling teeth and we only went through with it because it was converting a hosted solution back to a PABX. It works but it was a nightmare and things like presence don't work but the customer has a working solution albeit in some respects a basic one!
