Please explain me how to open a PORT on PIX firwall Ver 6.3 using CONDUIT command

Is it absolutle necessary to have static IP each PORT that I OPEN,

Requirement is to OPEN say TCP PORT 2000 inbound

Do I have to use Conduit and static then I need static IP?

Or Is it possible just OPEN Conduit only?

Regards

May i ask why you use conduit and not statics/access-list.

Conduits are much slower then access lists and conduits are old way to do it.

Thanks for your response

That is because this was maintened by my seniors with old concept (Using CONDUIT/STATIC instead ACCESS LIST), Now I have make some immidiate changes.

I am looking forward to change ACCESS-List soon,
