Hello all,

I've got the following problem and would be glad, if somebody has any idea to solve it:
Independant of which database (.mdb) I try to open in MS Access (Office XP package) I get an error message: "File could not be opened. The file is located outside the intranet or on a website which is no trusted site." (or something like that - I've got a german MS Access version).

To make sure that my database structure and settings do not cause the problem, I've created a new database (empty), saved it to a network share (mapped drive) -> OK. Then I tried to open it I got the same error as always (error open file...).
I've already set (nearly) all IE (6.0) security levels to off, made sure that the feature "Access data sources from other domains" is active, shut down my FW, but the error is still there.

So please, if anybody has the slightest idea, plz answer!

Thanx a lot!
CeeKai

I have this problem and have entered the \\servername\sharename in Internet Explorer as described in Q303650, but I still get the same message. Does anyone have any other ideas? This is a .mdb on a network share. We are not using any web interfaces.
