open issues by given date/time

hello,
i need to write a formula whereby i can say the number of issues i have open on a given date/time.
Can someone advise if this easy to write. Instead of saying tell me everything opened on a specific date I need to know everything that is still opened on a specific date/time. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You have to provide the fields you are working with and the report structure (grouping, etc.).

In general, you would use a formula like:

if isnull({table.closedate}) or
{table.closedate} > {?date} and
{table.opendate} <= {?date} then 1

Then you could place this formula in the detail section and right click on it and insert a sum (not count).
