Open form in ascending order of a particular field

I wish a form to open in ascending order of a certain number field.

There is a property setting for the form, called Order By and the Access help recommends to just add the name of the sorting field in this option, but its doesnt seem to work!

Any ideas?

The way to do this that will always work is to build a query based on your table. Click on the 3 dots by the record source of your form and then include the fields that you want in your query and then sort by the field that you want.

You could set the order in the control source. Use the builder button to the left of the control source name and create a query and sort by any field you wish. ljprodev@yahoo.com
