Hello,

I have a very annoying problem here, it looks like the problem is located on all servers.

A user open his own mailbox in Outlook, the user also wants to open a shared mailbox. I do this by entering account settings and add the shared mailbox in advanced tab.

Now there is another mailbox in Outlook, the performance of that mailbox is so slow, it takes ages to open up inbox, and it takes even MORE ages to make a search in that mailbox! I can see a ballon popup saying that the connection to exchange has been dropped and waits for it to reconnect.

The user mailbox has 7000 items, 4 Gigabyte data.
The shared mailbox has 11000 items, 3 Gigabyte data.

The user mailbox works as normal, very fast actually.

If I try to open the Shared mailbox (open as single primary mailbox only) It works very fast!

Btw, outlook is run under Terminal Services. Same results with Outlook 2003 as 2007.

What is this? I really hate it!

Btw, this exchange server has 8 GB of RAM, so there are no memory issues here.

Both mailboxes has over 1500 items and they work VERY fast if I only open on at a time, its when opening a second mailbox the caos is comming! It seems like it doesnt matter, If I open a smaller mailbox as a second mailbox, its also slow! Im beginning to think that the Outlook or Exchange product is not designed to use multiple mailboxes at the same time.

Good
Outlook - Single FAST Usermailbox

Good
Outlook - Single FAST Sharedmailbox

BAD
Outlook - Primary FAST Usermailbox + Secondary SLOW Sharedmailbox.

BAD
Outlook - Primary FAST Sharedmailbox + Secondary SLOW Usermailbox

The above is the situation I have.

I also use Full-Text Indexing on the Store.
