Are you certain the power is not being turned off and back on? You might plug a digital clock into the same outlet to see of the power is going off. If the digital clock flashes when the power is turned off/on, then you would prove the power is going down. Just making sure.

there is a back up UPS. i dont think it is a power issue

Are the cabinets grounded properly? Have you changed the SSC card?

It's interesting that the date reverts to 7/01/1996. I'm guessing that it did have the current date and time prior to the reset?. This sounds like a problem I had and it was the SSC card that needed replacement.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

As firebirdscrambler said : it is need SSC replacement ,but instead if doing that and as We know that cs1000e rls 7 will be soon available !!!!! and your PABX is very old rls 24.5, So instead of changing the SSC card or thinking with upgrade it : and deppending on how many extension you have it is better if you think in replacing your switch with BCM ,at witch the price approximately equal the price of SSC Card. this what we did with our old option 11 , and we are using IP hard and soft phones local and remotely with alittle expense.

Did you backup the database and reinstall the software, then copy the database back, could be some corruption either. Best to change the SSC, this will cover the new software install also

SSC cards are becoming very common now that customers are either ditching them or upgrading to CPPM etc. I'm sure that you can source a cheap later issue. Make sure that you go for a NTDK20DA onwards.

The NTDK20JA was pretty good in the UK.

Just because you have a UPS doesn't mean that it isn't failing. I have had many examples of a certain manufacturer's UPS not have any visible issues but have a bad unit drop output due to both bad batteries or bad electronics in the unit.

I would do the digital clock test that GHTROUT suggests first...

Reset Reason: C0, 0 - Reset due to Power Up <- Clue 1

SYS000 000400 000000 000000 000000 CPU 0 <- Clue 2

The 000400 part is a Power-on Reset

INI000 00000000 04 52 59 00000000 00000000 00000000 0000
Aboe INI is Clue 3

This is a normal INI due to a SYSLOAD. You had a couple INI003 messages, but the documentation has been too vague to pinpoint for the site tech.

INI006 00000089 is the one that I don't like. You have something installed that is not being recognized by your database. Could be some corruption in the software.

If you are familiar with pdt get in and print a rdtail report and it may show you some hardware issues, but this looks like a power outage. Maybe the UPS is bad and you are getting brown outs causing a power reset. You might not see this.

Take the system and plug directly into the wall outlet to see if this is possibly a UPS issue.

But first things first. Get a backup of your system. Then you can rebuild and reload all you want.

But looking at what you displayed here I have to go with the masses and you should look to power. If you are having an issue with your SSC card, there are just too many cards out there cheap to replace.

I harp on this day after day with customers that are looking for an upgrade. Why...why upgrade. If the phone system is not making you any money and it's running fine with some nomral maintenance issues, then keep it running and when you are really ready to make the move, then go for the full blown SIP upgrade. This event is something that just happens from time to time but can be fixed.

You are actually Release 25.30, which isn't the best release, but it works, and the software can still be retrieved if you need it.

Hope this helps.....

25.30, not a bad release; 25.40B was, for me, the hands-down most stable release I ever ran.

yeah....25.30 was the older sibling that was outshined by the younger sibling.

thank you janaya for the reply, about the UPS i have changed the UPS and did the digital clock test so it is not a power issue for sure!! the daughter board was damaged after this frequent restart and i installed a new one.
this is the capture before the daughter board is dead

Good to know you fixed it, as I said earlier just replace the SSC :)

ld 22

REQ: ISSP

I am wondering if you need the 25.30 deplist. It doesn't look like you have your patches. You should install those tonight if you have them.

Glad you got it fixed. Looks like a couple of database issues were removed.

My preference would be to reload the switch and restore your customer database. Doesn't take long but a reinstall on the 11c is not hard and it's pretty quick. Again this is just MY preference, but get the patches loaded if they did not resotre.

we loaded the patches and every thing is back to normal now, if it restart again i will post a capture. thank you.
