ontape problem

When attempting to run ontape -a, getting the following error:

informix@infxsrv:/u/informix=>ontape -a
Server is in an incompatible state or user authentication failed.

Program over.
informix@infxsrv:/u/informix=>

The Server is in a Quiescent mode as shown below:

informix@infxsrv:/u/informix=>onstat -

Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.30.UC2 -- Quiescent -- Up 00:34:55 -- 481344 Kbytes

Would appreciate any suggestions as to possible causes of this problem.

Bring the system Online

When running 'ontape -a' you're suppose to be in the Quiescent mode. The problem turned out to be that the user 'informix' had an expired password. Once I changed the password, ontape -a ran fine.
