Hi,

I have Avaya IP500 V2 with 3 POT line setup.
Can call from outside and use all three lines.
But cannot call outside using the third line, after dialing it makes an beeping noise (not busy signal).

Looked at the incoming call route, systems and hunt group and I don't see anything unusual. I'm sure there is something simple I might have over looked. Any ideals? Not able to do system monitor at the moment but I will soon.

Thanks

Look at the ARS which outgoing ID is used.
And make sure all pots use this ID as the outoing ID.

Hi Okkie26, thanks for the quick reply.
The ARS has only one line group ID of 0 and all the line pots line for incoming and outgoing are also 0.

And are the directions on all pot set to both? (not only incomming).

Hey Okkie26,
Yep, both is set to 0 for both incoming and outgoing.

Make sure if it is not a release that supports automatic impedence match that you run impedence match for each line so that it recognizes each properly.

Hi @Telecomboy, I checked each of the lines and it's set to automatic.

@Okkie26, Nah, it's tested and not the same POT every time.

Im going to get grab the monitor data this week and see whats up.
If you have any other suggestions let me know, I'll post the data and the solution if I find in this same thread.

thanks

Did you check, as Okkie26 suggested, at the Analogue Options tab for the line, confirm the direction is set to "Bothway" - if it is set to Incoming that will override the outgoing line group number being the same as the other 2 lines.

What does the extensions display shows?

Can you make a ssa trace to see of the last trunk is being occupied(?) .

Could it be that this is a provider setting?

@TouchToneTommy, yep. Made sure the lines are set to bothway for each of the pot lines.

@Okkie26, I did notice that when calling out on the third time I hear 5 quick beeps. The display doesn't show anything except the number I'm call out to but based on the system monitor data the the beeping (5) is due to error WAITING_FOR_LINE although I'm not sure. I don't think its the provider since we're able to receive multiple incoming calls. Here is the attachment when the beeping happens. I'm not an expert but I believe the EEEEE is the beeps and the main error is either CMARS_OUTOFSERVICE or WAITING_FOR_LINE.

Any thoughts?

try to change all lines to line group 1 then change the ARS to match. Have you made sure you can dial from each line out? Try putting each line into a different line group with a different SC and see if the IPO can dial on all lines.
