I have cus with 4 businesses on a Norstar/Nam and all of them have their own AA(auto attendant) greeting table. They want to add a 5th business to the Norstar, and guess what, they what an AA also! The NAM will only let me build 4 tables. Is there a way around this to get a 5th AA?

Arr and Exsmogger,

I think you are both right. I will try and reinit the NAM and see if I can select an (or the) alternate range but I am not hopefull about this. I suspect that the reason the NAMS will work as 1 ACD and 1 VM is that the ACD and VM use different F codes. The NAMS seem to have no problem reassigning the "Access" code (F915, F916, etc). It is just the VM codes that seem to be problematic.

With respect to the CP100 and Flash I have just 2 follow up questions.

1) WIth the CP100 is there AN alternate F code range or can you select your own alternate range? If there is just one other, then the most you can have is 2.

2) In the Flash, both 2 port and 4 port, how many AA tables do they support? I have always thought 2 was the max but maybe it is 4 on the 4 port. Do either of you know the definitave answer to this?

Thanks again for both of your help. I am a real digger and I will tear apart the NAM sw to see if I can find where the F codes are stored and maybe I can change them to any range I like. I will keep you posted on my findings.

Brian,
We must have been typing at the same time! Can't see why the NAM won't allow a change of F access codes .. got to be there somewhere eh?? I haven't had time to get to the book yet.

Harold,
Flash has only two tables 2 or 4 channel. The CP manual indicates that if another N* application is using the default F codes for voice mail, the CP will automatically assign new ones in the range of F900 to F999. This is almost a perfect lift from the Flash manual. Haven't tried it. Can't default my CP at this time.
With the CP you can have 4 active tables with 8 CCR trees.
Post what you find out eh?

Cheers
PhM

I think you are going to have to go with 1 NAM and 1 Flash because you can change the Feature codes on the Flash. Good Luck

or a 12/24 port octel voicemail system with norstar vmi moduals,of course your talking $$$$$$

Yahoogy,

Will the 12/24 port Octel VM support true multi-tennanting? Ie: separate auto attendants for different target lines? Separate directories for individual companies?

How many $$$ is it?

your best bet is to have 1 AA anounce 2 business and then config the ccr to route respectively
