Hallo,

I have a very strange problem with an Avaya IP Office Server Edition. The system is composed with a Primary/Secondary/Application Server and 3x IP500v2 expansion systems. The following problem is occurring, one of the IP500v2 is connected between the PSTN and the legacy PBX.

PSTN <--> E1 CPE Mode <--> IP Office <--> E1 CO Mode <-->, legacy PBX

If you dial form the legacy PBX a number which is less than 10 digits in total the call is not accepted by IP Office. IP office is not matching the dialed number with a system short code. If you dial a number which is exactly 10 digits long it is working. Incoming calls through the IP Office via 3 digit DID is working perfectly.

Scenario 1
Dialed from PSTN 123 (DDI Digits)
DDI Digit received on IPO 123 (via Line Group PRI PSTN)
2xx matched and routed to legacy PBX (via Line Group PRI Legacy PBX)

Scenario 2
Dialed form legacy PBX 0123456789 (via Line Group PRI Legacy PBX)
Number received on IP Office 123456789
Not mapped to short code

Secnario 3
Dialed form legacy PBX 01234567890 (via Line Group PRI Legacy PBX)
Number received on IP Office 1234567890
Mapped to short code 1N
Routed to PSTN via IP Office (Line Group PRI PSTN)

Secnario 3
Dialed form legacy PBX 01234567 (via Line Group PRI Legacy PBX)
Number received on IP Office 1234567
Not mapped to short code

I tried several things but I am really stocked. The idea is to smooth migrate the customer. But if they cannot continue dial out via there old PBX it's causing an issue for me.

Someone an idea?

Regards

Hi All,

I figured it out, if I enter a „-„ (minus sign) in the incoming field number it accepts my numbers. The only thing what is happening now is that “overlap” signaling form the legacy system not working, any idea why?
