I have a client running SBS 2003 and has about 22 users on the server.

Everything is working correctly except that one user (who happens to have the largest mailbox of everyone, 400MB, 13,000 items) is receiving messages that mail he is sending is getting delayed. He is also getting calls from his clients that they try to send email to him but often get undeliverable errors. No one else in the organization is experiencing this problem. He is running Outlook 2003.

He is having troubles sending and receiving.

Any ideas?

Too many cached restrictions backlinks and searches.

Any chance you elaborate a little on that? Thanx in advance.

We are not experiencing any of the symptons in the link you provided. The problem is that emails to and from this user are getting hung up and delayed.

People who send this user email from outside the organization often get a an email back claiming the message is undeliverable. Also the user receives an email mssg from the exchange server informing him that a mssg he sent earlier has been delayed.

None of these symptoms are listed in that link. But thank you anyway.

Turn up your categorizer logging and check the application log. Specifically look for 6004 retryable errors.
