Online/Offline Media

Hi,

since creating partitions on my robotic library I have noticed that the majority of my tapes are now listed as being online for media location. Anyone know of any reason for this? Do I need to reconfigure how Veritas is looking for the location of tapes?

Just out of curiosity, what kind of tape library is this? (HP, Dell ?)

Tape unit is a DELL PowerVault 122T

Ok, think this may have been related to the old inventory job we had setup to run on all of the slots that were now partitioned.
I've taken the schedule out but I'm wondering if now that I have partitions in place do I even need an inventory to run before the backups take place, the jobs will just go to the tape that is in the partition no mater what, right?
