online forms submitted simultaneously?

I have an online form used by about 6 different departments that feed their results into the same table (Access database). Some departments have a slightly different form so some of their results will go into a different field than others. Would this create any conflicts and what if per chance two people submit a form at the same time then what happens? I believe there is something called a forms handler that maybe puts them in a que but I'm not sure?

On question number one, I don't think this would be a big problem. Access databases can handle up to 255 concurrent users in theory. The form handler would be what sends the data to the database and I cannot say for sure how the scripts handle simultaneous form results to the same database table. In the event that two or more people click submit at the same exact second, it may cause the server to slow some - but I don't think it would result in errors, I would guess that the results would be sent to the database in the order they were recieved on the server and possible broken down by fastest internet connection by the end user. This is a guess though and not a for sure.

on question 2 - an Access database table can have up to 255 fields. You might want to open Access and do a search in the help for "Access specifications " to see all of the limits on Access Databases.
