Hello,

I am new to sql server 2000 enterprise and i want to do a hot online backup. Is the available with the normal backup option in the enterprise manager?

Yes ... you may run your backups while the database(s) are live and have connections open on them. You do not need to take the DB offline for the backups to occur.
