OneX Mobile - Partially Connected - MyBuddy not online

We just installed an IP Office system in July. We had onex mobile working on two Android phones in IT for a month or two and then at the end of September it suddenly quit working.

It doesn't matter if we try to connect through the cell connection, or via wifi. It "connects" and then gives the message that it is Partially Connected and MyBuddy not online.

The firewall on the Onex server is completely off. These two phones were able to connect just fine before. We can't figure out why they suddenly quit and would like to be able to deploy this for our users.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Here are some specs for the system if this helps:

IP Office 8.0.

The onex desktop application is working fine. Twinning is setup to the mobile number and works fine.
It's just the onex mobile app that is saying Partially Connected and not letting us do anything.

Open Then goto;

Configuration > IM/Presence > XMPP Domain Name. Fill in a valid FQDN or the IP address of the 1XP server itself.

Ok, there is already a valid FQDN in place in that spot.
It's pingable on the network and still the onex mobile won't work even with wifi.

Anything else I could check?

Did you gave the 1XP server and the IPO a reboot? (be patient it takes +/-20 mins)

then if you enter you should get a blank page.

I haven't rebooted them today.
I did reboot them both over the weekend though. They've actually be rebooted twice since we started having problems in September. Once was a power outage and then I rebooted them both for good measure over the weekend.

Yes I do get a blank page when I enter into the browser.

Still no luck sadly.

Did you ever come to a conclusion as to what was causing this issue for you? I am having the same problem but mine is with a fresh install. I receive a "Partially Connected, Attempting to establish communication with MyBuddy". I have gone through all of the documentation and everything is set up as it should be. I am at the point where I am lost and frustrated.

Hi!

Actually what finally fixed ours was something really silly.
Although on quick question, did yours ever work? Ours used to work and then stopped.

I ended up going into the settings for Onex here:
Configuration > IM/Presence > XMPP Domain Name

I changed that to something else, saved, and let it reset itself, then rebooted the IPO and Onex servers.

Then I set it back to what the correct domain/IP address is for that XMPP Domain Name setting and let it save/set itself.
I rebooted everything one more time and it magically started working again.

I'm not sure what the final kick was. It seems like changing that address initiated it to "re-look" at what was in those boxes upon a startup.
Re-entering the correct address didn't help. It actually had to be changed to something completely different, saved, rebooted, and then changed back to the right address.

Good luck!!

Very interesting. No mine has not ever worked but I will definitely give this a shot. I appreciate the input.

Thank You
