I had ONEX mobile iPhone version working with a Linux installation. The customer requested that the ONEX Portal server get changed to Windows version. Everything works now except the IPhone clients can't connect to the Windows server.

The users can connect to Portal through their browsers with no problems.
There is no Firewall running on the Windows Server.
I've installed fresh version of ONEX Mobile and rebooted the PBX and the Portal Server.
I can connect to ONEX via the browser of the IPhones.
I'm using the ip address of the ONEX server to connect 10.1.1.6
I've tried inserted the FQDN into the server field but I get an error "Invalid Port. Port must be between 1 - 65232"
I've tried entering the with a : but still get the same error Previously with the Linux version I used the IP address and everything worked fine.

I get the same results whether on the corporate wifi network or a remote connection through the VPN server. Again, the remote connection through the VPN was working previously with the Linux version.

Any suggestions?

Windows firewall blocking all ports?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Don't know much about windows firewall but if all the ports were blocked wouldn't it block the ports required for the browser based login? The firewall says its off but maybe it's still blocking somehow.

Port 80 is open by default but almost the rest is closed.
Why did they insist on Windows instead of Linux?
Are they afraid of Linux?

The Linux version is much more stable and easier to install and maintain.

They wanted to run other apps on their server and scared of Linux.
I've manually enabled ports 5222 and 8444. I know 8080 is working because I can log in through the browser.
I selected the "validate certificate" option and get an immediate error so I know its' getting to the server.

I've run the firewall batch as well and confirmed it opened ports for ONEX Portal.
When I try to log into the correct IP address the app just spins and spins.
If I put in a bad ip address it immediatley says "Check server settings"
I doubt it's the firewall at this point but don't know how to confirm.

sorry to be a necromancer but was there any resolution to this as I am having the exact same issue with iPhones.

windows firewall is not running so no ports should be blocked.

I've still seen it where the windows firewall is off, and things don't work. Running the avayafw file then usually sorts it out.

I have run across this issue as well and can confirm that when Windows firewall is turned off it blocks. Turn it on and open the required ports. As Cat said run the Avayafw app.

i ran it yesterday, just need to test it out this morning. thanks for the replies.

Still cannot connect, its just spinnin. After doing a port scan, 8069 is indeed open.

new update, it appears we had windows 2008 R2 installed. created a new virtual server and put 2008 on it and the iphones now connect just fine.
