We're an 8730 core with CM 5.2.1

Was using OneX Comm 5.2, worked fine through VPN. Tried upgrading to the newest offering, 6.1 SP2. It will register just fine, but cannot make or receive calls. Same thing with version 6.0. Try to make a call, you get a Call Session Error pop up, "Unable to create call session".

Have tried different Network Regions, using different codec sets, tried G.711, G.729. If I uninstall6.0 or 6.1 and re-install the 5.2, it works.

Any ideas? I don't think its the VPN, we already disabled H.323 packet inspection as well some time ago when we implemented IP Connect, and starting moving to IP phones.

Your firewall may be blocking the Time-to-Service (TTS) ports. Go to the Avaya support site and get the port document for one-X Communicator. The TTS defaults outbound on 61440-61444 and goes to 13xxx (I forget the port number). This is probably blocked.
