training.jdedwards.com holds a list of all courses and locations from JDEdwards. I've never seen any type of certification offered by them except for the Certificate of Completion given out at each class that JDE gives.

If anyone is still reading this section of Tek-Tips and has any info, perkdawg and I would love to hear any info on actual certification. Monkeylizard

JDE Used to have testing facilities with Prometric. I took the JDE System Configurator Foundation (B733.1) exam. It was open book and I passed it.

They are now switching to a web based training/certification process as of March 2001. According to JDE WEB Site, the Technical Certification process will be revised the Summer of 2001 and available shortly thereafter.

I am a Jde world 7.3 user and want to do the certification of Test# 2D0-019 (OneWorld Application Developer). For this purpose I want to have reading material for the preparation of this exam.
My question is, from where I can get the related material ?

Here in Houston the Sylvan Learning Centers handle the JD Edwards certification exams. I took the SOM A7.3 exam about 1 1/2 yrs ago. The exam was open book back then, but I understand that it is know closed book. Study Guides used to be available on the KG, but I'm not sure about now. I received my study guides through the Consulting Firm that I used to work for, which obtained them from JDE.

iwould like to know what advantage jd edwards holds over sap and what are the growth prospects for a person who is working on jde in the functional side. does jde offer any on-line certification courses

I am a Senior JDE Analyst (15Yrs. World Technical & Functional 3Yrs. OW Functional and now Migration certified and in process of CNC training now. I work for Agilera a JDE ASP World/OW/Coexistence/"Migration Certified"(that’s me), CNC Certified, (5 guys) OW Development (2), OW Functional (me and another person) etc. etc. Certified Bus. Partner (Agilera has paid greatly and dearly to be so Certified)...
And Yes JDE is now giving exams and Certifying Business Partners, Customer Employees etc. in varied facets of everything in OW and thinking/talking (Idle I am sure) of Certifying for World too. Being certified specially for a Partner or JDE Employee, is the big thing now… And for Developers theirs I think two paths, for CNC 3 etc. etc. etc.
So go to the JDE Knowledge Garden find the path you want take the classes do the work then study and take the test or tests EASY as 123...…(of course you must "qualify" to take the Certification exam.
Just one of those things to limit unqualified completion (get rid of those riff raff/ snake in the grass Independent Consultants and, Consulting Companies (had mine for 15 years ICMS) insure quality (maybe) and assure customers of quality of the JDE or JDE Bus. Partner or employees or candidates knowledge, skill, etc. (And of course charge you up the nose,).
