Hi all

I have three BCMs (two BCM 450s & a BCM 50) networked together using H.323 trunks,we are using IP phones in all our branches. Now we are experiencing oneway speech between the branch calls, this is happening not for all calls but most of the calls are with oneway speech. Can anyone help me on this?

Thanks

Does it happen with IP phones and not with digital phones?

Check that the default gateway is configured correctly on the IP phones.
Make sure that all IP phones in all sites can route to all IP phones in all sites.

Frideo and mrtech00,

I am experiencing the same problems on my system. 1140E IP phones get 0 way conversation and my i2004 phones get one way conversation, but neither can pick up parked calls via Feature 75.

Frideo, you asked me a whole bunch of questions concerning my problem as well. Can you tell me the best way to present the answers to you and show you how my IP setting are shown? I think Mrtech and I are looking for the same answer. Is there something I can copy and paste out of element manager that will help you detect how my IP addresses are arranged and why my BCM will not route the IP calls to the IP phones?

Thank you, I really need to get this figured out, I've been struggling over it since February! haha.

Most common sources of one-way or no-way speech with IP is either codec mismatch (wrong type or different packet size) or packet routing error (voice packets cannot get from the source to the destination).

I have checked with one analog phone connected to the main branch BCM,at that time also the result was same.

This is happening not for all calls after 4 to 6 attempts i can communicate with the other party fully. If it is a packet routing error means it should happen all the times, am i correct?

does you router have ACL lists blocking some of the ports used by the voice stream?

To get a list of the ports used I think it is in system or resources??

Whats ACL stand for? I want to check this out on my BSR222 router.
