Hello,
Installed One-X for customer and they have Preferred, UMS, and 5 power licenses as a trial. They want to integrate with Salesforce. I had the customer download it via:

1. First, login to 2. Then, click on your Salesforce login name and click Setup.
3. This brings up a navigation pane. Here, select App Setup > Customize > Call Centre > Call Centers.
4. In the All Call Centers screen, select Import.
5. You can now browse to the path where Avaya IP Office CTI Adapter for Salesforce is installed, and select the file Avaya one-X Portal IP Office Settings.xml.
6. Select Import, which will bring up the Avaya IP Office Adapter for Salesforce screen.
7. Here, click Edit.
8. Now, in the Avaya one-X Portal for IP Office Server Information screen, type the IP address of your one-X Portal for IP Office in the Server IP Address text box.
9. Click Save to complete the integration.

It appears to load fine but when you right-click on the Salesforce icon and choose "about", the information box appears as:

Call Center Edition, Version 3.0
Browser Connector, Version 3.00
CTI Connector, NONE Currently loaded.

My question is this....if the customer downloads the CTI from salesforce, do I still need a license for this? I've never done this before, so thank you in advance for all input.

You should download the plugin from the One-X Portal server and not from the salesforce site (if i am right, never done it)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I haven't either. From what I am reading, the CTI app needs to be downloaded from the One-X Portal and take note of where file is saved. Go to SF.com and download their app for IP Office and then point it to the above saved location and then it's supposedly confetti time. We'll have to see.
