Hi All

Having tried to avoid one-x portal on the grouds that I though it was shite, I thought I had better get back into it, with the imminent demise of PMPro.
So, the new ipmroved version 8 is all installed etc.
Avaya tell me it is now compitible with IE9 too!

However, cannot see voicemeil messages in IE9, it just syas "checking messages". Might just be me, but after 5 hours I determined this was a problem.
So onto Firefox, in which I CAN see voicemail messages, however I cannot play messages from group mailboxes.
If I have messages in my own mailbox, and try to play a group message, it just plays the newest in my personal mailbox.
If I delete all personal messages, including old and saved and try to play a group message, I just get a short beep.
I know the message is a valid one as I can listen to it via phone access no problem.
I am sure I have missed something vital, maybe in the install or something, but can anyone shed any light on this for me??

Also, sorry for my cynical attitude when it comes to One-X Portal. And Avaya.

Many thanks!!

Dave

Hi tlpeter,

It's on V7 so no AFA login. Thanks for the tip though.

ACSS (SME)

One of these days everything will work as it should, and then we'll all be out of a job!

Cheers, I spotted that in the docs just after you posted!

Can't wait to try the alternate (ok, maybe not a direct alternative) on 8.1. I think it'll blow One-X out of the water. Everyone will want it.

Which alternate?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Had the same problem but when I ran installation under "Administrator" account it successfully installed )))
Stupid one-x needs admin rights for something

Only for testing you can use IE9.

Hit <Shift> + F12 goto Script tab and hit start debug, then press F5 to refresh the page.

But after closing this IE9 you need to redo the steps to make it work again.

We've tried all the tricks, running command prompt as administrator and running the msi, turning off UAC, making sure were logged in as Administrator.

Same issue every time. It doesn't copy all the files and folders across or create the service.

I've even been through the registry manually after uninstallation to remove any remnants but same issue.

At least our distie has managed to recreate the problem their end and have reported it to Avaya so lets see what they can come up with.

Cheers

I'm having a different problem with One-X. I installed the outlook plug in (Avaya Desktop client). One-X portal shows all correct information. But for most users, the outlook plug in is not showing anything live. A user will be on a call and can control with One-X portal, but Outlook shows no activity. Also, I can see weird things in the plug in such as people on their phone who aren't, do not distubs who aren't. Again, One-X portal shows correct. I know it's a client so the PC itself has a lot to do with it. Any outlook advice would be helpful as well.

Remove and install with admin rights.
Then be sure you run outlook with admin rights too.
