Hi,

I am using IP Office 500, Manager version 6. I have a copy of Office Worker and using One-X Portal on my computer. After reboot my IP Office last Thursday (hard boot, unplugged it from the power supply. It was frozen), I couldn't login to my One-X portal anymore. It gave me an error message saying Invalid user credentials.

Can you help? Thanks

Where is one x portal installed on ?
Do you have an IP500v2 ?
An IPO is not frozen, it can't be.
It will reboot itself when it needs to.
NEver unplug the IP500v2 with out a shutdown form manager or SSA.

You need to reinstall one-x portal or send back a backup.
Still one-x portal should work normally but you never know.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

At a guess there will have been some sort of "event" that caused the freeze (power spike or something) and it may also have effected the server that is running One-x, has this also been restarted since the freeze? :)

I am pretty sure there was a power spike. The air conditioner in our server room was out of service too. Although my voicemail server was working, there was a message on the screen saying it lost its connnection with IPO. Anyway, I have rebooted it at the same time.

This morning, I rebooted voicemail server again, and my one-X portal still gave me the same error message.

One-X portal is installed on my voicemail server. Do I have to reinstall the One-X portal on the server?

I do not know my IP500 version. Will you tell me how to check? It is only little more then one month with us.

You may as well re-install it, it doesn't take long and it may well have been corrupted somehow if it was reading from the system at the time the spike hit :)

Do I have to unstall it first beforem running the one-xport.msi file?

I would personally always do a clean install, so yes uninstall it first, restart the server then re-install :)

Did you make a backup with 1xp ?
It is done in seconds and a restore too.

If you didn't then reinstall it, set it up again and make a backup.

No, I do not have a backup copy for 1xp. Am I support to backup the whole Onexportal folder in Program Files?

Will it ask me to reboot after installation?

No, there is a backup option in 1xp
no need to copy anything.

I just wanted to let you know that my vendor have to upgradeed the 1xp to a patch which was just released. It resolved the problem. Remember, I could open the 1xp, just couldn't login. I am sure there was a bug without the patch.

By the way, my IP Office was connected to Avaya UPS Backup unit when it happened. I still couldn't understand how it happened.

Thank you for your help.
