One X portal

Can't seem to instant message, under a user running the portal on their desktop there is no chat with option. Any ideas?

IP office 500 5.0.18 sftwr, running Version: 5.0.30.1462 one x portal.

It is a 6.0 feature so that is why.
You could try it, I have done it but no garanty that it is stable !!!!!!!!!

You are correct, we upgraded to 6.0 and the messaging is there. Telecommuter mode is pretty sweet.

It only partially worked on an ipo with 5.0, it wouldn't see the vm, so we upgraded the ipo to 6.0. Funny enough, we are now having an issue with ccr, it doesn't seem to see the supervisor license included in advanced edition.

Should do.
You see a red line on top saying you do not have a license ?
Reboot the system and it is probably gone.
Reboot the ipo too!

We get that licence problem as lot, Wallboard and Supervisor etc. All services are running and connected correctly but it can take 3 or 4 reboots in order for the CCR to actually see the licences, it's a pain in the bumhole

Clear the application log on the server (tip from someone else)

Would be better if we had the Call Assistant.

The very least Avaya could have done was take it out of the documentation when it didn't go GA.

The supervisor license problem is a known issue, someone at Avaya decided that with v6 there should be no supervisor license included with Advanced edition.

They have now relented, so anyone who has this problem currently should raise a case with their BP/distributor and ask Avaya for a supervisor license.
