Hey guys,

i have the One-X portal working in the office and can connect and login with no problem.....

i want to be able to use my iphone with the one-x mobile app. can anyone give me a brief rundown of what i might do to get this working?

i have the "power user" license and valid on the ip office

hardware config....

IP500v2 7.0.23
VMPRO
One-X portal 7.0.16

If I remember correctly, those apps (along with the android one) only work with R8 and the one-x mobility service running. Haven't had a chance to play with one yet...looks promising.

i think youre right....

i will upgrade the control unit, voicemail, and One-X portal to the new R8

Then it is still Android only for now.
Support for the IPhone will come probably in the next release.

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to know if someone has configured the one-x mobile on android with R8?

Yes i did and a couple of my colleagues run it too.

If you don't mind tlpeter can I have the steps on configuring it because its not working for me so probably I'm missing something or doing something wrong. I would appreciate that.

Thanks.

has anyone set this up on IP Office yet? It seems I'm missing something. I have one-x setup, and the android client working. However something seems incomplete. My phone connects to one-x, but does not mirror my desk phone calls. If I try and place a call from one-x mobile, my deskphone goes to speaker and makes the call but it never goes to my cellphone. It seems like there should be LOTS more config for this, but I can't seem to find where to do it. The one-x portal has very little config for the actual users.

Go in to the mobile app and change it from deskphone to mobile

how?

is that phone icon in the toolbar that toggles between mobile/work/home?

if I set it to work and dial a number, my deskphone goes to speaker and places the call but it never shows on my cell.

if its set to mobile it does not dial anything... a box comes up and says "dialing xxx" from mobile phone.. but nothing happens.

none if these show when my deskphone gets a call.

You need to configure both numbers in 1XP
Login as administrator and configure your mobile number too.
Then when you set it for mobile then it will ring the mobile phone number.
You can also enter different numbers too when you are at a project where you programmed a DID for your self.
You can be a telecommuter this way.

I am having the same issue

I have done all this but still doesn't ring my mobile/cell phone.

When i have SSA open it doesn't show another call out. I can ring from my mobile/cell phone to an extn, so i know my number is correct

Login as administrator on the 1XP server.
Go to the user you are testing with.
Go to IM/presence and see what is setup as number for mobile phone.
Is this the same number as for mobile twinning?

Okay.. I found the user stuff in one-x admin and played with the numbers. Still no go. Tried '9' before the number, with area codes, etc, etc.. no dice.

curious about your reference to mobile twinning. That should not be needed for this right? The twin causes the phone to be called directly and be answered outside the one-x mobile client. I never saw a reference to this in the documentation.

Yes you need mobile twinning otherwise it is useless.
You need to enable One x mobile.

So under the mobility tab in Manager I am checking Twinning, entering the number, and checking one-x mobile?

is this documented anywhere?

when I check one-x mobile client it says "system contrains no suitable trunks for one-x client"... confused by that. I have a PRI?

.. the documentation make it read like that one-x mobile button is for the symbian or WinMo clients...?

I configured XMPP domain as the 1X server's name, opened ports 5222 and 8444 on my firewall going to 1X server IP.

I configured the settings on my Android: Server name-public ip, port-1X portal port number.

Getting error "cannot verify the XMPP user, cannot retrieve XMPP info etc".

Any ideas?

try it on your LAN first to rule out the firewall.

I guess I am failing to see the point of this whole thing if the twin to the desk phone is no more than a simple phone call. Whats the point of the app? I was reading the sales literature and thought I'd have transfer buttons and office phone functions... am I right that all Avaya is selling is a fancy IM and presence feature?
