Hi

We are looking at deploying an IP500 with a UC module mainly for the one x mobile app.
The customer doesn't have any server locally and are all cloud based for data.
They want to keep voice on ISDN for now.

Issue I can see is how would I setup split DNS when they have no internal DNS server?
They want to use the app locally as well as externally.

Thanks

Going cloud based has its drawbacks, it's not all sunshine and roses :) This type of integration being rather difficult is one of them :)

If you really wanted to hack you could configure the UCM as a DNS server. But why not just install a small linux box (or even a raspberry pi) as the DNS server and update the settings in their DHCP server/router/firewall? Should be fairly easy...

Some firewall or router can be DNS server, I did this once for 1xm split DNS

If the router makes clear reverse NAT (forward port even if the connection comes from the internal side of the router) than it should work with a single public dns name as well.
