Have IPO500V2 running 8.0
Installed One-X Portal 8.0 on same Windows 2008 server as Voicemail Pro 8.0

System, voicemail pro, and One-X portal all working.

Followed One-X Preferred for IPO install instructions to setup One-X for Preferred client, including firewall rules/ports setup.

Installed One-X Mobile Preferred client for Android on Droid Bionic.

Configured server, user, password, etc. Android client connects to the One-X portal server, and shows status green/fully connected.

Outbound calls from Droid successfully intercepted and placed by the IPO, which calls the cell. Perfect.

One-X Mobile Preferred client on Droid shows the voicemails, including which ones are read/unread.

But pressing the "Play" icon on any of the voicemails on the Android client pops up a player control for a split second, and then goes right back to showing the play icon, without ever playing any audio. Makes no difference if new/read/unread voicemail or length of voicemail.

Any ideas?

I had this same issue at trial. I had to add a virtual directory to C:\Program files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Accounts as /VoicemailAccounts.

When you request vm playback on the droid app, it does a HTTP request from One-X to VM to your VM Account for playback. Our VM is Windows and One-X on Linux.

You'll also need to add a binding for port 8000 to the default web site.

Jamie,

I already have a "voicemailaccounts" folder pointing to that directory, as well as a "personalgreetings", a "namesgreetings" and a "Voicemail" folder, all under the default website. Is it case sensitive? My installation apparently created the folders all lowercase, and your posting shows VoicemailAccounts. You think I need to change it for case?

Indeed, only port 80 was bound to the site, so I added port 8000 and restarted IIS. I didnt know if I needed to, but I also opened up port 8000 inbound through my Internet firewall for the remote client. (The OXP server and VMP server are on the same LAN - no firewalls.)

I then restarted the OXP service.

However I still have the same problem.

OK, got it working.

Apparently, I had to install the one-X portal desktop app, and in that app, under configure/voicemail, I had to check the enable box in the Voicemail Screening Configuration section. Once I did that, voicemail playback on the mobile started working.

Haven't had to do that, but if it works!!!

Haven't really used it much recently tbh. The Android phone is rubbish. No battery life. it is presently away for repair because I cannot get a day out of the battery!!!

That is a problem with all apps and the battery itself.
