Hi all,

While installing one-X Mobile 5.2 on a Windows 2003 server, I receive an error that says:

"Installer could not find the scripting file required to configure the web services extensions. These need to be configured manually after the installation."

The installation proceeds and finishes, but attempting to access the web login fails and gives me the error "Service Unavailable." I looked in IIS Manager under Web Services Extensions, and the only allowed extension is ASP -- there should be some added for one-X, right? I am running the installer on an Administrator account. I'm fine with adding these extensions in manually if necessary, I just don't know what extensions I need.

Thanks in advance.

it can take quite a while for the service to become available, watch the page file increase in size after restarting the service, it'l go up to 4GB I think? ours is running on the linux DVD version with VMPro on same server, so can't check the real thing at our end sorry.
there are a number of links, like the admin login link too... which you'll need to go into and setup lots of other bits and pieces. do you have OneX install guide handy? link below...

bakel, you are installing one-x mobile for the cm.
Do you have a cm or an ipoffice?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

ha, yes it should be 8.0.84_220 or similar if version 8.0 Avaya IPO etc, ie should be same as firmware of the core system...

We have an IPO 8.0.44 with a UC module that's running VMPro and one-X Portal.

The Apache Tomcat and Edge NotificationService are the two services I see related to one-X mobile, and they're both running.

Why are you installing one-x mobile 5.2 on a windows server?
You need to do all the settings on one-x portal on the uc module.
I suggest you really read the manual for one-x portal.

We want to test the one-X Mobile client features on iPhones. So, is one-X Portal on the UC module all we need? What is the purpose of the one-X Mobile server installation?

There is no as this is not for the IPOffice (one-xmobile 5.)

Read the one-x portal manual.

But to help you a bit.
Go to
Then login as admin and go to configuration.
Go to IM and setup a FQDN

On the mobile phone get the app for IPOffice preferred.

It is too much to explain it all so really read the manual.

Do you have to be registered with a Domain name service to get a FQDN? How do you then setup the FQDN to point towards your 1XP; router/firewall? Or will the 1XP server broadcast it on your network?
